The 2018 CYC Sports Summit has been cancelled due to a lack of registrants. We hope to have more events like this in the future.

Schedule for the Day:

  • 8:30 am- Registration Opens (Coffee and bagels available)
  • 9:00 am- Official Welcome, explanation of theme
  • 9:10 am- Keynote- Bruce Scifres, Executive Director, Catholic Youth Organization, Archdiocese of Indianapolis, former Head Football Coach Roncalli High School, Indianapolis-
    Video, Building a community of faith, Coaches Toolbox
  • 10:10am- Small Group Discussion (questions provided)
  • 10:25am- Break
  • 10:35am- How to build community and faith on the court/field - Mark Probst, CYC Sports Associate, Executive Secretary of the St. Louis Suburban Public High School Conference, CYC coach and former CYC District Baseball/Softball Director, High School Basketball/Baseball official, former high school athletic director.
  • 10:55am- How to build community and faith at practice - Bill Bommarito, President of Coaching Coaches, former CYC Coach and Athletic Association President.
  • 11:15am- How to build community and faith at home - Dan Fitzgerald, Coordinator of CYC Sports, long time CYC Coach, former Collegiate and High School Basketball Official.
  • 11:40am- Prayer time in Chapel
  • 12:10pm- Lunch- Panel Discussion- Bruce Scifres, Mark Probst, Bill Bommarito, Dan Fitzgerald, Paul Scovill
  • 1:00- From the perspective of a High School coach - Julie Goessling Matheny-, St. Joseph Academy Varsity Basketball Coach, recently elected to the Missouri Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame, former CYC Coach.
  • 1:30- Small Group discussion
  • 1:55- Closing
  • 2:00- End of Summit
